Writing History
For whatever reason--it is unknown to me what it might actually be--I have always been interested in history. So I turned it into a career--dumb me! At least financially speaking. It's hard to make a lot of money writing history. But I am compelled to continue to do so. So there you have it. Since I have this compulsion (OCD), I figured I might as well start a blog. So here it is.

You can make good money writing about history. Just depends on your area of interest.
Paul Gregory Alms a while back noted that a decent history of The Who has yet to be written. Will you be blogging on such fine arts?
On the way back from band practice last night with my daughter we were trying to get her classmate to admit to his favorite (rock, pop, country?) band and when I mentioned The Who, my daughter, bless her soul, chimed in, "My favorite Who song is 'Teenage Wasteland' (sic)!"
Dave Marsh wrote a good history of the Who. I think I said no good biography of Pete Townsend has been written. BTW, hello, Tony!
Before I Get Old by Dave Marsh is a very fine history. If you like chronologies, see Andy Neill and Matt Kent's anyway anyhow anywhere: the complete chronicle of the who, 1958-1978. It will gobble up a few of your evenings.
Anyone read Mark Wilkerson Amazing Journey: The Life of Pete Townshend? It was published earlier this year.
